I saw a picture of this steel uploaded here on the sight. At this point I have lost hope with Zavvi/ Disney. This release should have been called: Lady and the Scam. What happened to the awesome designers behind Finding Nemo and Aladdin. Those where in a whole other league. This just needed glossing and a better slip to be in a similar category. I really hope the second wave of Disney titles fare better. Sorry for all the pissing and moaning but at around $35 USD a piece, I expect a little more.

so asking scanavo to add another glossy layer puts you into a whole new league of designing ? because thats basicly the difference between those steelbooks :/

im afraid theyre just trying to raise theyre profit margin by saving costs

I know this is totally subjective, but in my personal opinion this specific title would have looked way nicer if it were glossed. There is a member in this forum (his name escapes me EEK!) who does amazing work adding gloss to certain titles. I do think some films are better suited for a matte treatment- Anywho I'm just one of the thousands that purchased this release. I'm sure many people may prefer this matte finish, which I completely respect ;)

A nice looking steelbook - not the best Disney, but still good.
Arrived in a good condition apart from having a loose disc, which was a let-down.

Out of the recent three disney steels, this is the title I think would have benefitted more from a gloss coat.
I'm sure the matt finish won't be awful to look at in hand, but a bit of gloss would make the contrast between the bright colourful characters & the deep purple background really special.
