UK - Lady and The Tramp

This is the gem of this recent wave. Nice artwork. Nice colours. The matte finish hasnt made this completely dreary. True, gloss would have made this popped like Aladdin, but it really isnt that bad.

If Zavvi are bad US/CA retailers are worse. They seldom reveal the artwork and you can only find out during the release date as to how it looks like. Also they are as expensive as Zavvi Steelbooks and don't even offer overseas shipping. Please be thankful that there are plenty of UK sites that offer good value for money to collectors abroad.

Back to topic, I think Steelbook looks good and I am sure it will look better with gloss.

I was hoping the cartouche (is that the right word?) would have been multilayered instead of flat, with the border being embossed and then centre debossed with the title embossed. Isn't that how it was with Aladdin?

I know these haven't achieved their full potential, but overall I'd say they are pretty good

I wouldn't be surprised if all this wave stay in stock for a long time. I just looked at the list on zavvi and only one current release is OOS.

Let's hope you're right, as I noticed the Toy Story steels dropped to £19.59 for some bizarre reason. I think if they were priced reasonably at £14.99, I and others would've grabbed 'em all and decrease the chance of being disappointed

That won't happen these will sell out at the latest in a week or 2 weeks

They look great to me and are 3 of Disney's best Classics

There was a lot of cancelled orders due to payment problems and some were normal cancelled order by the customer

These will sell out again soon

A week or less is my bet.

Man I can't believe they started to number them now

Wish they did it from the beginning but they were on the steel it's self, like on the spine.

Yea I noticed the numbers on the spines, don't seem right though?

They are the Disney Classics numbers not the Zavvi numbers. Dumbo is the fourth Disney Classic, Peter Pan is the fourteenth and Lady and the Tramp is the fifteenth :)

Has anyone noticed that Lady and the Tramp, Peter Pan, Dumbo and a few others have lost the sentence from their respective Zavvi page promising they are limited to 4,000 copies?

Starting to feel like we've been sold a fairy story?

I am!

It still says ultra limited run. I can't remember it saying 4k though...
