He's met just about everyone including Frankenstein and Alvin and the Chipmunks and looking at this London roof tops scene from THE WOLFMAN was thinking what a pity he didn't meet up with Mary Poppins and joined in the Chim Chim Cheree/Step in Time dance:-

Very slow month for me this year as watching Persona 5 Animation made me crave a replay of Persona 4 Golden so haven't had much time.
So far all I've watched is Hubie Halloween and I'm currently working my way through the extras in the new Friday the 13th set while I wait for the replacement discs. Silent Night Deadly Night 1+2 arrived today so I'm trying to decide whether to watch at Halloween or Christmas.

39. Ghostbusters.

Maybe not your typical horror movie but it’s a Halloween staple as far as I’m concerned. It & its sequel were shown on Irish tv multiple times over Halloween when I was a kid.

Can’t edit my last post, so;

41. The Mortuary Collection
- this was an absolute blast, one of the best horror anthologies I’ve ever seen & one of my favorites of this year.
42. Vampires Vs. The Bronx
43. The Exorcist.

Finishing out #31DaysOfHalloween with;

44. The Lords of Salem
45. The Strangers
46. Trick ‘R Treat
47. Halloween [1978]
48. Halloween [2018]

Great month of horror movies. Revisited some old favorites, found some new favorites (The Mortuary Collection is gonna become a Halloween tradition, & Possesor is still my favorite movie of the year).

26. Scare Package
27. The Wretched
28. Gretel & Hansel
29. Rabid (2019)
30. Blumhouse's Fantasy Island
31. From Beyond
32. Monster House
33. A Creepshow Animated Special
34. Maniac Cop

And that concludes this year's October horrorathon. Happy that I was able to catch back up to watch a minimum of 31 films for the month. Pretty disappointing month for movies, though. The only films that I truly loved from the entire list were Halloween (2018), Harpoon, #Alive, You're Next, Silent Rage, Scare Me, The Wolf of Snow Hollow, Feast, Gretel & Hansel, and Monster House, naturally.

I had a lot of fun with Vampires Vs. The Bronx. Not gonna win any awards or anything but I enjoyed it, strong Lost Boys vibes from it I thought.

I enjoyed a good bit of Scare Package too, the only stories that didn't land for me were So Much to Do & Girls Night Out of Body (which I thought was among the stupidest horror stories I've seen).
If you're in the mood for an anthology, check out The Mortuary Collection which came out recently on Shudder, its FANTASTIC!

What did you think of the Creepshow Animated special?

Watched it myself earlier today and thought it was pretty good, would like to see more animated episodes.

Terrifier

Been meaning to watch this for some time now but just never got around to it, anyway I finally give it a watch tonight and to be fair I wasn't really missing out on anything if id never watched it.
Id heard a very mixed bag of reviews for this and I can really understand why. As it goes for horrors this really wasn't my cup of tea.
I do the other hand think that ART the Clown as a character was pretty good and if a film was put together better than this one was it might be a decent horror.

I was at one point hoping to pick up the Cinemuseum recent release for its and maybe I might still as I really do like the Art on the slips and would now save me having to open it up, doubt id want to watch it again
I know that there is a second coming out to this so id be interested to see how that turned out with the slightly higher budget it was given.

I see a lot of people liking Vampires vs. The Bronx (my Dad included), but I couldn't get into it at all. I was actually incredibly disappointed by it. Scare Package was pretty decent. Some of the stories were great, but like you, I thought Girls Night Out of Body was horrendous. That's my problem with anthologies. There's usually always a bad apple in the bunch that sours the overall film. That's why I really loved Scare Me. It was a completely different take on horror anthologies that kept me constantly entertained.

I did see a trailer for The Mortuary Collection, though, and it really does look great. I'll be watching that one soon!

I didn't care much for it. The stories were good, but they would've benefited by being live-action. The animation was awful. It was like that still-motion type of animation used in digital motion comic books. I guess that makes sense with Creepshow being told as a comic throughout, but I was hoping for something more old school to fit the vibe of the show.

Terrifier

I wish I never watched Terrifier. It was so low-budget with awful acting and production value. The makeup effects were good, but they were also overly disgusting. There was no value of enjoyment while watching it.
