I did get it on eBay, just not the £500 one mentioned earlier. eBay.fr, and not advertised as being available to ship outside of France

I am quite curious in this steel, I think it's because it's very unknown but it is very rare that gives the steel its own uniqueness. I mean every collector has heard of IM but if you ask newbies Le Grande Bleu they be like 'what?' lol

It's a nice steelbook but i'm holding out for an English friendly edition with HD audio

i know. it was Luc Besson's first english language film. in my OP i meant an edition with English HD audio.

there are editions with French and German DTS-MA 5.1 dubs but the original english track is limited to PCM 2.0 or Dolby Digital 5.1 on the Aussie BD

I think this is one of those movies (like e.g. Farewell my Concubine or The Fountain) that are very unlikely steelbook releases - making them all the more collectable and unique.

Does anybody on here have a SEALED copy of Le Grand Bleu or has sen one, ever?

To the best of my knowledge it was never released as a sealed Steelbook. (I think I asked this question quite some time ago :))
No wasn't me but see here & here.

This auction would indicate that they were sealed. Pictures included.

ebay

Love it when rip-off ebay sellers like this state stuff like the following : -

" I will choose as carefully as I can mint steelbooks for you. But if when you unwrap your Steelbooks and find hidden damages whatever I can't be held responsible "

Tell that to PayPal sweetheart when the buyer puts his claim in :hilarious:

I think that when someone spends $400, the chances of them then opening it are remote to say the least. For a sealed copy of one of the rarest steelbooks about, that isn't a bad price to be fair.
