My steelbook only was dispatched on October 27, according to the email sent by ZAVVI. But till now the tracking information has no updates - The Evri is still expecting the package. I thought ZAVVI must have failed to have enough stocks.
Anybody has the same problem?

Shipped out my dozen, two sets of five, one after the other, an hour ago.
I guess they're working through the orders again, in whatever sequence...

I though I'd ask why my copies (1 each) haven't been shipped yet. Answer: "Because the items are out of stock, but as soon as they come back, my copies will ship immediately". I've ordered all 3 on March 24th......

I'm still waiting to hear back about my Collector's Edition. I emailed them last week and they responded that they were checking into it. Nothing since then.

Same here. Also from Germany.
Maybe, they shipped the Uk orders first.

Finally got mu CE today, and the packaging is terrible. Just a large cardboard envelope like amazon would use if they were sending 3 blu rays together, no padding at all. Of course the corners are crushed, the slipbox has creases, and the box with the extras has a big crease all the way down it. For £60 this is a joke. I'm guess they ran out of the good packaging and just sent it out in whatever they had.

Oh god that is ****** up by zavvi. On a £60 set this is totally unacceptable. But honestly getting something undamaged should be the bare minimum for any price.

That is how I've received every edition for 25 years. Only some arrive 'perfect'. Not counting those from premium retailers like FilmArena and MantaLab, that are packed in foam or styrofoam.
So I don't even notice such 'damage'. :shipped:

Doesn't look that bad...mine had arrived with Box almost fully open and box pressed so much that the cellophane had ripped open at the seams fully

This isn't some £25 tradewide edition, it's £60. The one for Fifth Element was very well protected and boxed, which is what I'd expect for that cost. If they'd packed it even remotely well it wouldn't have happened.

That's what happens when everythingblu staff leave, no suprise at all.
Will be interesting to see if Zavvi continue with these, and will see what everythingblu bring out next year.

The thing is i received steelbooks in Zavvi small parcel boxes today (not ideal as they slide around even with air bags placed on top) but i'm pretty sure they had suitable boxes available to send
Leon CE in, its just what happens, some of the packers need educating, or don't care....and Zavvi don't care.

Honestly the way steelbooks get packaged is near criminal. Amazon being the worst for it by far. With just an A1 envelope. I honestly would rather pay extra for a custom box that would ensure they arrive undamaged.

I know, it's absurd. I put that to Amazon. I got a pack of 4 electronic toothbrush heads and they were in a gigantic box, filled with bubble wrap and paper, yet I got a steelbook from them in a flimsy card mailer which caused it to get dented to f**k. They told me it just depended on the packer!!!!!!! So, in conclusion, if ordering from Amazon, order tooth brush heads for same day delivery as your steelbook then you're sure to get a box ! lol!
