K2DVD notified me that they couldn't ship out my copy because they found small scratches on some of the steels so they had to return them to the supplier. Good to know that they do inspect the steelbooks and not just blindly shipping them out.

Just got this message this morning:

we’re sorry to tell you that we were not able to ship the
package today. As we announced in the item pate, the
1st delivery box arrived from our supplier today. Though,
the qty is far less than we expected. So, we shipped the
other pre-orders first which came earlier than your pre-order.

The 2nd delivery will arrive 12. April here. We will ship
your package as soon as we get the item. So, we ask you
for your understanding. You can cancel the pre-order
since we still have time until then. If so, please mail us.
If you don’t reply us within a week, we assume that you
will keep the pre-order and ship the package as written
above.

I didn't place my order the first time it went up, I placed it on one of the times it went back up randomly. Luckily, I ordered one on e-bay for pretty much the same price just in case, so I can cancel this if need be.

It's a real shame that this one was such a let down for so many. On the plus side, it'll be easy to pick up cheaply on ebay.

I know, but it's always such a shame when people start getting too defensive and angry when they've chosen the wrong one.

Who said that? It's not about what one you choose. It's what rocks your boat. It's not about which one wins or backing the right horse.

If you look at Skyfall for example, both Taiwan and Korean versions were different in terms of slips, but equally as good in my opinion.

I always buy both versions, unless I don't like the Taiwan slip (Ted/Bournes), which you get to see before release unlike the Korean counterpart. Not everyone can afford to buy both though.

I actually prefer the Korean version of Life Of Pi, as it shows off the true beauty of the steelbook and the lenticular sleeve.

I personally think over the course of time that the Korean version will be more sought after and therefore more valuable.

See, it always ends in an argument when one Asian steel is better than the other. If people are quick, they can still get the Taiwan version from YA, so there's no real need to panic. I know how some of you feel, I've chosen the wrong one in the past myself on occasions.
