Finally the arrival...

Life of PI unboxed....images are not crystal clear as they are taken from my Nexus4, still enjoy :)
BTW...the pics doesn't do justice to the lenticular sticker...it's awesome!

Riddler, thanks for the pics. I am sorry to say this....the box slip is horrendous. It is just a sorry excuse for some pretty mundane looking adverts. I am canceling.

Looking at the actual pics, the ads and slipbox ruins what would've been an amazing looking steelbook on the outside. :( I wished it was a full slipcover with lenticular on front and book behind steelbook.

The Tw Hobbit is being released as a regular, non-lenticular steel with 1/4 slip. It'll look very much like Resident Evil Retribution or Underworld Awakening. Nothing like this release.

Let's not hit the panic button folks. ;)

I'm not so sure about that Rob - and don't mean to derail this thread, but the latest pics on the retailers for Hobbit TW are all about the box, not slip. Take a look at the Hobbit thread.

I am speechless....horrid, horrid, horrid. I am not in a position to say this, I suppose, but I feel rather embarassed for JSDVD!

I wonder how many will go into sale. Do you know average number of steelbooks, that new blockbusters have printed? 20 000 worldwide? 50 000 worldwide? Anyone got any intel about this subject matter?

Got to agree with AA !

That box with all what's going on, on it is absolutely Horrible. Mine is on its way so too late to cancel. :(
I can do without the free gifts, just give me an awesome slip.

I hope The Hobbit is not covered in stickers like this??? :(

I also think its a lazy effort. It would have been so awesome with a full lenticular slip cover.
