Pre ordered this today as I think it looks great even if it is a little pricey

The missus see it at the cinema and said it was very good so that swayed me

Your missus has good taste, it's a beautifully shot film... Very unique, and great story telling.

With slip blending with the artwork, lenticular magent and English writings on the back this will be the best version in terms of value for money.

Is this expected to come with a slip? If so, that would definitely get people interested

Always looks nice in pictures as they are gloss but looks dull when it is matte finished in reality.

Looks quite nice tbh! Never doubted the lenti, but the slip escaped my attention somehow.. Good show, UK! The best one so far

I am more excited about this steelbook than most.

Blind buy for me, and actually I have never even seen a preview for this and the only things I know about it are the following:

- Nominated for lots of Academy Awards. Won some.
- Ang Lee directed it
- Supposedly a beautiful film
- There's a tiger

That's about it, but tigers have always been my favorite animal, so I can't imagine not liking this. Really looking forward to getting the steel and watching the movie.

Steelbook.com have confirmed to me that the UK version is lenticular

To quote Winston Wolf... 'Well lets not start sucking each others dicks quite yet'

... I contacted them through their facebook page about the French Looper steelbook and was told it had 'Beautiful rear artwork' and it turned out to be a printed back...

I can vouch for this - they responded very quickly when I had to return a damaged steelbook.

I would say they were economical with the truth when they answered your question, where saying it has a Lenticular front when it doesn't would be an outright lie. Lets hope that's not the case.

Have one pre ordered with Amazon but ordered another as a safety net with Sainsburys as this is one i want and has to be mint as i love the film and artwork. Should then have time to cancel one if the first is (shock horror!) mint

Economical with the truth, I agree. It does have nice rear art..if only it was bigger...and covering up all the writing on the back lol

But yeah, the confirmation of the lenticular cover on Life of Pi is good news, should look very nice. I enjoyed the book, so hope the film lives up to expectations as I didnt see it at the cinema
