Generally non-prime members' items gets dispatched on release date or next day only. Only prime members' items get dispatched once amazon receives the stuff. IMO.

Thats always been the case with my orders, then the Hobbit arrived on release day...no sign of my Life of Pi though, still stuck at 'not yet dispatched' so Im guessing it will be the usual Sunday night/Monday morning dispatch and Wed/Thurs delivery

Im not too fussed on getting items on release day as my unwatched pile is so big it takes me a few weeks to get to the new releases anyhow! (still not watched the Hobbit either)

It's a really enjoyable adventure story, even if you don't buy into the whole mysticism/faith bit. And it looks and sounds amazing - even better in 3D!
