Really? That's a good price. Didn't even know that they were stocking it. Got mine from Sainsbury's but their packaging is awfullll. What other steelbooks did they have?

finally arrived.. customs held it back and i had to pay additional 6 euro ransom :-/

a little disappointed with this steelbook.. especially compared to my other lenticular avatar, which looks a lot better imho :-/

Did you order it from Amazon? UK is part of the EU free tradezone so you shouldn't have to pay any additional charges!

yeah, ordered from zavvi and they sent from jersey :-/

its not bad, but i expected it to look better..
the steelbook has nice colors, which apparently couldnt get transfered onto the lenticular, which makes it look kinda pale compared to the steel..
and without the lenticular the embossed border looks weird + theres too much info on the steel

IMHO it would have looked better without the lenticular & unnecessary writings + a nicely embossed "Life of Pi"

And the 3D was very kool
Glad I picked it up in steelbook form as well
Amazon gave me a £1.23 refund so it was a bit cheaper to

I can confirm there is both Portuguese Dolby Digital 5.1 audio, and Portuguese subtitles.

I ordered this from zavvi it arrived with a thin scratch all the way down the spine, should I bother attempting to return/exchange this?

Same here. My second copy from Tesco has got a cut on the spine and a slight dent on the top opening.

before i received the notification from the customs, i complained to zavvi about not getting my preorder in reasonable time and they answered this:

"Thank you for getting in touch to let us know that you have not yet received order ............

This was sent to you on 25/04/13 and although deliver usually take 3-5 days we do ask that you give it a full 21 days to allow for delays with the postal service.

If you have still not received the order by 16/05/13, please let us know so that we can investigate this for you.

If there is anything else that we can do, then please do not hesitate to get in touch and a member of our team will be happy to help.

So this steelbook costs me 37,00 EUR now. I think that's kind of expensive for a steelbook which isn't even OOP...
Just hope that it arrived with perfect condition...

Got this from lgans over on the other forum. This is such a beautiful and moving film. I had to get it in Steelbook. Plus, I'm upgrading my projector soon to a 3D PJ and know that this movie must have been great in 3D!

I think a better image for the inside artwork would have been either the big ship sinking or the landscape shot of the carnivorous island. To me, just the ocean is a bit plain.

Finally got my copy yesterday. Great movie and great 3D effects. The steelbook treatment also does this movie justice. Glad I have it!
