I was actually shocked at how good this film was. In some ways I preferred it to the original. But for me it’s definitely up there with Cinderella, Jungle Book and Petes Dragon with the live action remakes. One of the best ones they done

Agreed. I actually ended up ordering this steelbook after i watched it last week, Its a great movie and very touching.

It’s pretty much a perfect kids/ family film

Silly, funny, emotional, serious grounded tones and stitch looked incredible. Spot on design wise

Having seen the original I don't get how you can overlook them messing up the story in the remake, the core of the film was about family and in this ****** remake they dump the nuisance younger sister on their neighbour, while the older sister pisses off. All issues solved by having a magical gun now! What a great message to send to kids, **** your family, do whatever makes you feel good right now.

Considering the neighbour is considered family and in their world there is a teleport gun so she can visit every day and night what exactly is wrong with that? The older sister is going to learn so she can get an excellent job to literally look after her sister in the best possible way.

Even without the gun there is nothing wrong with that. Some families are put in positions beyond their control, she has the resources with the neighbour and her son to look after the younger sister whilst she betters herself to then be able to look after her sister….

Also she had no other option because the little one was going into care with a random family anyway. At least the neighbour who’s considered family has probably helped raise the girls along the years anyway and knows them like a Nan would know their grandchildren

Agree. Teleportation gun aside, it's a relatively realistic setup.
