On the proceed to checkout page it's showing as £15.20 and £3.94 for shipping and handling.

It also comes to that for me so you would most likely get hit with customs charges.

That's because of Amazon.com lousy exchange rates.

So pay in dollars rather that let Amazon.com convert it to sterling or pay for expidited postage

Won't make any difference if you pay in dollars as your bank will charge you a conversion fee for about 60p, so it'll just barely be over £15 :(. I believe expedited shipping doesn't cover all sections only the handling fee and import VAT not the customs charges, if I've got that right.

It'll make a difference as to whether you have to pay tax at all as the label on the package will say $24.99 and customs will convert that to pounds using their current exchange rate which brings it below £15 at current rates.

There are no customs charges as such there is only VAT and the handling fee on imports like this , if it was over £15 you would pay 20% VAT on the total cost of the item and the P&P, you would also pay the handling fee charged by the courier, £8 if it's the Royal mail

Good point, just taken a look at the review your order page on Amazon.com, granted they mark the package correctly it shouldn't get caught by customs. Unfortunately there's always a chance Amazon US won't do it correctly and just combine the total cost making it $31.47, which equates to over £18 so if they make that mistake it'll be up to the customer who has to cover it.

I wish there were more special editions available in the UK. A lot of the really great ones are available in America, and by the time you pay shipping and tax, it can work out so expensive.

I did splash out on the Marvel Cinematic Universe case though - looks beautiful on my shelf!
