I tried cancelling my order from jsdvd last week as they told me they couldn't give me copies without the manufacture defect. Over a week went by and they wouldn't cancel. I decided to pay my shipping invoice and just deal with it. I guess its not a big deal. Its only the top corners with the red and white areas. Still a beautiful steel and its about to go OOS pretty soon.

mine was from jsdvd didnt have the sticker, so i guess it was first run, but also didnt have the defects, u can see in the pic i posted :)

I ordered this from JSDVD on the 18th April.
With each passing day, I get more and more worried, why it hasnt turned up yet :ohno:

I ordered from Yesasia on 11th April and it still hasn't shown up. I contacted them and they said they would resend if it doesn't arrive by 14th of May. If you're worried you could contact JSDVD as well? I know how frustrating it is waiting :p

Alright, I can't take it anymore! Even though I have the US Lion King Trilogy Boxset with the same design, I have to buy this! :hilarious:

Which has the best price, and least chance of defect... YESASIA and JSDVD?

Personally i prefer ordering from JS because they always package items very well and in a box where as yesasia uses cardboard to surround the steel then they bubble wrap and seal in a poly bag. If you are worried about the defect you can email JS and verify that if you order they have a defect free one for you. Trust me once this steel is in your hands it will automatically be one of your top 10 favorite steels, defect or no defect. ;)

Actually, my orders from YA have always come in a strong cardboard box. Perhaps it's because I always put in a specific instruction to that effect?

And I can agree with SML's view on the steelbook. It is absolutely stunning! Can't believe how beautifully it's been conceptualised and executed - you just wonder why that kind of imagination and effort can't be put in other releases. Marvelous :oohyeah:

Wonder what finish is used on this steelbook. I would guess it's matte but it feels very nice and smooth when touching it. Doesn't seem full gloss but not full matte either.

I got this one in the mail today. A beauty. Without the blu-ray logo and with a more matte finish this would have been perfect. I'm not even bothered about the red/green marks on the spine.

I said do your own research not wait for another poor schmuck to tell you :p

"Lazy tart"

:D

:D

Dont tell the wife just ordered this, what the hell its beautiful i will take the hammering haha:ass:

Me too! My Wifey loves The Lion King so if I get caught I'm saying it was a late Mother's Day present! :hilarious:

Been so busy lately I'd forgotten what date I ordered this one on, so I checked my confirmation email and realised it was back in April. So thought I'd do a track and trace of the order number and see what's keeping it...

Seems it's been delivered and signed for by someone at the Leeds depot in England about 3 weeks ago... wtf? Even has a proof of delivery attached to it. Has anyone else had this happen with an order?

I've emailed them and am about to phone.
