I would have loved a comic book look only if

1) The film felt comic book like...I mean I love the film but it's only loosely based on Old Man Logan. If it was a near direct adaptation then bring it on.

2) The comic book artwork was good...this is not

It looks like an animated straight to DVD release film

Cancelled.

The artwork could have done with a bit of colorful character though tbh, the film was depressing and misrible as hell, not saying it was bad but it left me and my girlfriend feeling so misrible lol

Little matching of U.K. X-MEN steelbook artwork to speak of .. . unless you consider the artistic style of these matching three (with the others in the set not released here for some reason):-
As it looks like this matching collection will not be completed here in the U.K. I can see LOGAN just about fitting alongside . . .

Best matching - apart from the three above - are of course the recent two from HMV . . . the others released previously are a bit of a mishmash:-

Etc. . . .

I think the best way to fit this in is to jumble the whole collection up with different versions so they all look different.

Hope you all are also getting the Black & White Noir Blu-ray disc

Yes . . . LOGAN noir . . . http://uk.ign.com/articles/2017/05/02/logan-blu-ray-steelbook-exclusive-reveal

Now that the French mock-up has changed to the comic-book WWA design the only orange steelbook left standing (from concept to reality) is the WEA from Film Arena (4,000 units) with embossing (and Glossy?):-

So painful reading everyone's hatred for this art, and using the bizarre excuse of it not matching the rest.....

Guess what? None of the others match except maybe one or 2 lol - Infact most the x men steels look sh*t! And boring compared to this

The wolverine Hmv art uses cartoon esque art and the releases of first class etc do to a degree too.

Seriously can't wait to have this in hand and to hear it's possibly gloss is excellent news, will also get manta but unless FAC up their game on the slips it's a 100% no

Also extremely happy we get Logan noir but it's very odd we have to wait until July unlike the US even though we got them the same time at the cinema

Im not a massive fan of black and white films (my fav being Angel A) and really can't work out why mad max was done like it but this fits black and white so much IMO and I can't wait to see it

July! Seriously jeez.
Fair point with the x-men steelbooks much like the films continuity, it's all over the place.

Interestingly the 4K version is listed as having Logan Noir with it as well (according to the HMV website)

The Australian 4K release (4K BD + 2D BD), for example, is listed thus-
Blu-ray = 361 minutes
4K Blu-ray = 274 minutes
As the film is 137 mins in length I'm guessing that both discs will include both colour and B&W version of the film (137 + 137 = 274 mins on the 4K disc . . . same + 87 mins Special Features on the regular BD = 361 mins).

As far as I can make out all BD releases include the Noir version.
Black & Chrome for "Fury Road" and now Noir for "Logan" . . . wonder what name they'll come up with for the next B&W (lol). Maybe NERO ?

RE: LOGAN NOIR CINEMA SCEENINGS
Quote from director James Mangold
"During production of LOGAN I took many black and white photographs and noticed how striking and dramatic our gritty settings and characters appeared in monochrome,” said Mangold. “The western and noir vibes of the film seemed to shine in the format and there was not a trace of modern comic hero movie sheen. Then, while editing, Fox and I started posting some of the black and white stills online and fans also began to respond enthusiastically, many hoping that they would get a chance to see the finished film in carefully timed, high contrast black and white. Well. Sometimes hope becomes reality."

To celebrate the release of Logan Noir, Alamo Drafthouse will be bringing the film to the big screen in all of its monochromatic glory for one night only starting at 8 PM EST on TESDAY 16TH MAY 2017 - https://www.bleedingcool.com/2017/0...ogan-theaters-may-16th-ahead-blu-ray-release/ - https://drafthouse.com/event/logan-noir - The event screenings will also be accompanied by an exclusive, live streaming Q&A featuring director James Mangold. Attendees in every location of the screening will be able to participate in the live discussion with Mangold via Twitter using the hashtag #askalamo. Los Angeles fans will also get the chance to see Logan slash through the big screen as Alamo Drafthouse and Fox co-present LOGAN NOIR with American Cinematheque for a screening at the Egyptian Theatre."

In France, same steelbook, including the Noir version.

So i don't know why they say its "Limited edition steelbook". It's the same for everyone.

Like a lot of other people I wouldn't say I'm a huge fan of the artwork but I always prefer steels over amaray so I'm definitely keeping my pre/order as I can't wait to see it again.

Usually you'll see this kinda "alternative" artwork on a 2nd / 3rd edition for the hardcore fanguys...I guess that's throwing a lot of collectors sideways...I'm 100% sure we'll see other UK editions down the road

I actually quite like it. Not exactly what I was hoping for, but it's fine and probably still better than the Amaray. Finland (and the other Nordic countries) will most likely be getting this as well, as was the case with X-Men: Apocalypse and several other HMV exclusive steels.

I would have preferred this artwork though and it would have suited the film a little better:
