Not every one uses a blu ray player. A lot use playstations etc like myself

Yeah revenant was very annoying and only just picked the discs up 3/4 weeks ago (nearly a year later)

Nah, I missed out mate... Manta was actually my second choice after FA's, so I've not had much luck with this title at all.

Exactly! For me it's nothing to do with not being able to afford a region free player either. I've managed fine without one all these years as I simply avoid buying region locked releases, so why would I waste cash on something I don't necessarily need. And like yourself, I don't really have the space... not just for an extra player (I currently use a PS4), but for all the region A titles like Criterion, which I'd most likely be very tempted to buy if I did go region free... it'd be like an alcoholic buying a brewery lol.

dude it's 2017.. I dont use a standalone player that wastes space, can only play blurays and looks ugly on the shelf

exactly.. e.g. Revenant I already owned the German Steel, so I didnt care..
but for Logan I skipped the german Steelbook release and now its sold out and I can buy the noirversion for god knows how much..

Alien Covenant UK release could be Region A B. US release was Region A B locked based on the subtitles:

Logan USA 2D Blu-ray is Region A locked.

Covenant - US 2D Blu-ray is Region A B for sure. HK is Region A. At this moment we can only speculate on the Region coding.
