Theodora Daniela Capăt paints our dream poster for The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring this Wednesday!
We’ve been excitedly following Theodora’s paintings for years. Theodora’s paintings overflow with mood and atmosphere, and many are tinged with dark fantasy elements. Each painting is filled with painstaking detail and the layers of expert craftsmanship that are bewildering.
When we saw Theodora begin to work on alternative movie posters, we knew we had to pair her with The Lord of the Rings trilogy and we’re beaming as we release the first in an ongoing series that has us mumbling my precioussss. With so many major scenes and characters represented, Theodora’s print takes us through FotR’s sprawling journey and provides a darker, more perilous take on the film, with danger awaiting the group at every corner of Middle Earth. Featuring a gorgeous symmetrical layout, Theodora’s first print in the series cracks open Tolkien and Jackson’s stories and takes us on a unique adventure.

Theodora Capăt continues her journey through Middle Earth with a new alternative movie poster for The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers!

It’s been a few years since Theodora started on her print series for The Lord of the Rings trilogy, and we’re ecstatic to return to the mystical lands once again. Theodora’s pieces often start as paintings–paintings that overflow with mood and atmosphere, all wrapped up in a dark fantasy aesthetic. Each painting is filled with painstaking detail and the layers of expert craftsmanship are bewildering.

Theodora’s piece for The Two Towers features many of the film’s beloved characters, all gloriously rendered by Theodora’s brush, and a number of iconic locations and set pieces from throughout the movie. Theodora’s interpretation of The Two Towers is perfectly moody, and feels appropriately darker than the previous entry in the print series.
