Found this and thought I'd share , this time of year can be a little hard to bere as we have lost people and things we have loved . Made me stop and think shead a tear and eased a little tiny bit of the loss .

i dont know if this is a global tradition, but here in Finland on Christmas eve people go cemeteries and put candles on the graves of relatives and friends. when it's dark and ground is white with snow it's very beautiful.

THAT IS A BEAUTIFUL thing to do. We put a decorated wreath on our loved ones graves . Thats our familys way of remembering .

yeah i do a similer thing on christmas day i go visit my girlfriends grave every christmas day with her family with flowers and the light a candle, its the 1st time id ever seen a candle get lit on a grave in our country

Thanks for that @Scary Hair. I will show my missus this as we lost our little daughter shortly after her birth earlier this year.

Having lost someone very close to me many years ago now I still find it very difficult particularly at Christmas, we spent many happy ones together and still can't believe he is gone

Hope everyone who has lost someone is doing ok and just remember they live on in our hearts and memories

My In-Laws always leave a wreath but I write cards and get them laminated once sealed in their envelopes for Christmas, birthday and wedding anniversary; words like that are between a man and his wife only.
