I am going to get this version. Not too bothered by forced french subs. Very soon after release the UK amaray version will be in the bargain bin. So a simple disc swap and problem solved!

Guys while I was messing about with the remote on my panasonic player I made a AMAZING discovery. I WAS ABLE TO GET RID OF THE FORCED FRENCH SUBTITLES!!!!!!!!!

Well
1 Press the OPTIONS button
2. Select Subtitle
3. Select Subtitle Postion
4. Change from original to around -14 to -16
5 Hey Presto. The subtitles are concealed beyond the bottom edge of visible screen.

This also works on french IMMORTALS disc and possibly all discs!!!!!

I did the hybrid of french and UK steel. I've chosen the UK front instead of the german, as i think that it works better with part 1 and the hybrid inner art is not so defaced
