The current artwork on Walmart.com is the same artwork for the slipcover of the regular 2D amaray release. There is still a chance the NA MoS SteelBook will have different artwork than the other regions. Just saying...

For hardcore collectors, having the VUDU or On Demand code means they don't have to open their Steelbook(s) to watch the movie(s). Also many people in general have large collections of UV and iTunes codes for personal HD streaming or uses as gifts or to be sold. Having the On Demand copy also, in someways, future proofs your collection because you still will have something if your items are loss, sold, stolen, or damaged. (if collection is not insured BluRayJunkie Style that is! :naughty:)

I have a VUDU Collection of almost 100 FULL HD films. I'm able to stream directly from Ps3 and also other devices. As long as the UV or On Demand code is from a Bluray, in the US, it can be automatically shared and added to your HD VUDU collection regardless of agent or studio as well. ;)

They are not HD Audio though are they?

Don't you have to open the case to get the code out?

Today I was walking around Walmart minding my own business when I was looking for wallet for some CDs when the magnet card popped in front of me like magic! Lol, I was trying to pre order but when I went a few weeks before, there were non around, so I kind of got over it and bum! Lol so I jus preorder, hoping is the steelbook :)

It slickly says it supports 5.1 & 7.1 Dolby but it doesn't mention anything about it being TrueHD. So maybe, or maybe not. It does sound great though! In most instances you can buy UV/VUDU codes of movies for $5 or below or get them for FREE. Many people don't use their codes so just ask. In the case of Man of Steel, no pond intended, the VUDU code comes in the pre-order gift.

here's to another non-embossed non-debossed SB release from WM. sigh...i got sucked into the whole magnetic card thingy...oh well...too late now

How are you going to put a magnetic lenticular card that is the full size of a G2 steelbook on an embossed steelbook

I'm not holding my breath...i'll be shocked if it's embossed and given proper treatment but won't be surprised if not...and it doesn't come in 3D that's ok....i sometimes prefer 2D because of the pic quality is so much sharper, contrasty, colorful...

the question is would Walmart use this design on their website if it wasn't the design of the steelbook?

I'm hoping they use the Future Shop version, it would make sense because that is the same artwork the UK is getting and also very similar to other countires, so it isn't too far fetched that it could be the same one that Walmart is getting.

Look no further than the Fast 6 Wal-Mart Steelbook for confidence that Wal-Mart can have exclusive artwork different from other countries.

I hope that it's not the same artwork as the Future Shop. That would make it the same as the United Kingdom, Germany, and every other place. In the US, we have the lenticular magnetic cover with the "S" sans the Man of Steel written in the middle that you can place on top of this artwork if you don't approve of it anyway. I love the Man of Steel Wal-Mart Exclusive's potential artwork. In fact, the more world exclusive artwork, the better! I'm most excited about the potential WEA on this and the Media Markt Steelbook alot more than any of the "S" logo editions that will appear in bulk everywhere. :D

a leniawatumacall it u say, eh? nice art too for this edition, but again no 3D.

expensive to import too, but i'm actually tempted to choose this one, tho i'd have to also buy UK 3D amray to replace the dvd. Whole thing is gonna cost near £100 bucks if i go with it EEK!

...but then again, for this particular movie, i think it could be worth it :)

I spoke to a rep today from the VUDU/Wal Mart fulfillment center about this preorder. She told me that there are three different preorders.

1. The $26 preorder that came out in June with the lenticular magnet - she said this one will only come with the Amaray

2. The STEELBOOK preorder that is on the Wal-mart website now

3. A more recent, $30 preorder that references a steelbook on the preorder packaging - she said this is an in-store promo.

I hope this isn't true, or I am DEFINITELY done buying Walmart preorders
