My store had 1 left. I was tempted and asked the employee if we had to have it shipped or if we could pick up in store. Ship only, so I put it back. If it is a steel, I can only imagine the condition after shipping

The magnet does look really nice IMO.

I'm holding onto my receipt and not opening it, hopefully there will be information on it before my 90 days are up.

Yeah, it just doesn't make sense why have a Blu-ray sized magnet as part of the preorder and then release the movie in a standard case? But then again, this is Walmart...

im a bit confused here...to my understanding you have to pay $24.99 or what ever it is up front correct? How are people selling these on ebay for $17-20?
Surely they are not selling at a loss, and if they're stolen...I would guess upon checkout it somehow activates (like a phone card or cell minutes) that pre-order rendering the thing useless?

Like Ash said a couple of pages back all the pre-order/redeeming info is sealed inside the Lenticular Magnet Pre-Order Card package. As far as stolen, that is a possibility but some people also have hook ups in store. I even heard that some people were getting them for free by just asking. I don't think most Wal-Mart workers in electronics even know what it is. It wouldn't shock me if they did let a people grab a few because the associate that range me up had know clue it would cost anything.

guess ill be getting this for $18 instead of 25 i guess maybe a couple just in case this is a steelbook as all 5 of my walmarts are sold out

was at walmart yesterday looking to buy this. couldn't find them so i asked where they were.

they had been taken off display to be shipped back!!

felt lucky at the time that the dude gave me one, which i bought for over 28.00 incl tax.

just purchased the same thing on ebay for a total of 17.50! needless to say the other one is going back.

Yes, because the pre-order gets shipped direct from the warehouse and they still leave some for stores.

Same thing happened with the Hobbit digibook.

It's not supposed to be pickup, they should ship it to you. When you enter the code online at VUDU and Ultraviolet, it asks for an address to ship the Blu-Ray combo pack (hopefully steelbook) to you.

Well if not an SB I will ask for a refund but without givin the magneticis card. But this combo will be shipped to your home, it,s not a pick up in store.

That's right, that's why they are giving us a deadline date 12/31/2013 to receive the combo to our home. Also once you opened the wrap from the magnetic card and you discover that this one in not a SB later you wont get a refund. Cause you redeemed the Vudu code, that's why you don't see the word "free gift" anywhere you look at it.

Just in case this one is not an SB, I've pre-ordered one from Amz.de that also includes the 3D version. This one from there is a very expensive one, it's $56.24 to USA. I've hope that they are going to down this price. My wife is starting to looking at at like this I'm collecting since 2009 and have less than 40 SB..cause I get only the ones that I really like...not the ones that people run to buy.

Honestly, that would be a dumb move from Wal-Mart, they released G.I. Joe: Retaliation 3D in steelbook, and they wouldn't be releasing Man of Steel 3D as an exclusive? I mean, don't get me wrong, I liked G.I. Joe but it is what it is naamsayin'
