Wreck, just answer me this: Should I keep or return my magnet?

If this does not turn out to be a steelbook, I am planning on returning my magnet (haven't opened it yet).

I know there is a certain window you have to return things and I don't want to be stuck with this if it isn't a steelbook.

He had previously stated that he had hoped everyone had picked up their magnets...that was enough of a hint for me:D

Really on the fence on this release. The lack of any mention of 3D for a summer blockbuster that was advertised to death while in theatres is a little bit of a turn off.

I bought one of them magnet dealios from Walmart yesterday. They had like 10 on the shelf. We'll see what happens. Not gonna open it yet :)

The preorder is done through a website, you enter a code and your mailing address, then you get it sent to you, and I think early access (or immediate) to a digital copy when it drops

That would be a deal breaker for me right there, having Walmart ship one to me.

you get the digital copy 2 weeks before the movie drops.

I don't understand companies with secrets like this. I mean, it's not like it's national security, or even some type of proprietary tech or something.

Shhhh! >_> <_< Don't tell people what the product we will send them actually is. >_>

I mean, even telling Wreck he can't spill the beans. Heaven forbid some people actually know what they are buying. END OF THE WORLD!

Just an additional question.

To all those who say they purchased the magnet for cheaper on eBay, did those come with the original purchase receipt? How else would one claim the pre order without the original receipt??

The original receipt only will be handy for a refund if we are not satisfy with your purchase (sealed). VUDU are only responsible only by send to our address the combo pack. Also if the pack is damaged for any reason we have to cantact VUDU for a replacement (not Walmart). Right now we able to watch via VUDU a intro featurette and a precuel motion comic :oohyeah:

Saw it more cheaper on Eby than Walmrt. I can't beleive it!

Anyone doing a GB for this?

IIRC this wasn't natively shot in 3D, even partially. So as a pure 2D to 3D conversion I'll wait to see what the reviewers say before deciding on a 3D disc.

Do you get the same thing from the VUDU pre-order as well? If that is the case, the pre-order was $3 cheaper and you got the magnet. Why would you not look for it in stores still? I found mine yesterday, but want to make sure before I activate the code and have to order it again online....

This was a very confusing pre-order. Not only was it not announced to be a steel at the time of pre-order but, they have been pulled from many Wal-Marts and are cheaper on ebay than they were at Wal Mart? It's a crazy world we live in :D

Hey guys, I don't know if you receive this item if you have the magnet. This one just says 'Steelbook' on the website and also 'Walmart Exclusive'. There is another one that also says 'Walmart Exclusive' but nothing about a Steelbook (it does mention Vudu, however)...http://www.walmart.com/ip/28417221

Wreck is the one who told us to make sure we had the magnets purchased. Can we confirm with him if the preorder with the vudu cose and magnet is the same as the Steelbook listed on the site to preorder?

The magnet preorder was $26.96 and that does not match anything that is listed on the site to order.
