Which steel do you think has more quality, this or Zavvi's?

Difficult to say but so far, some have a feeling that the German one could be a better buy

Great! There isn't a single copy available and they were cheaper than Zavvi's (well, in fact with postal costs they were more expensive) Marvelous!
Amazon maybe can replenish them but I think I don't going to delete my Zavvi's preorder (oh, Lord, let it be better!!).

i like the movie and the steel.
but i think in germany we don´t get an embossed titel or else.
look the wave here woth roger rabbit, the rock and john carter. the uk was embossed - the german one are smooth like a baby A**

Here we have a different situation.

1. Both steelbooks come at the same time. The Disney steels coming months after the UK steels.

2. The ultra limited print run crap from Zavvi.
For this price its not possible.
I think its like the new Star Trek steelbook.

3. The artworks on amazon.de are identical to the artworks from zavvi.
No german text on the front and a inlayprint. Amazon.de shows no inlayprints in the past. No german Warner catalogue steelbook has a inlayprint in the last years.

I think amazon.de look at the pre.orders and make more steelbooks.
In Gemany we have not many rare steelbooks.

If it is sold out, amazon.de surely reprints the steelbook within a few months. Same thing happened to the Dark Knight Trilogy, Matrix Trilogy, Underworld Trilogy, even to collector´s editions like Lost or Breaking Bad, so Zavvi steelbook will be much better

why is zavvi so much better ? Its the same steelbook.
Even if the rerelease it..maybe no backprint, printed fsk and bad quality

It´s all about the j-card, which is in english and will look in my opinion better than the German one which has this big rating sticker on it (for the collectors who let it sealed)

Should be cheaper than the zavvi one. Wouldn't surprise me if this ends up being a loss leader. Should be priced around 12.99 euro just like Cloud Atlas

What about the cost of licensing the film itself? I imagine that is by far the biggest cost for a retailer.

Lots of steels sell for losses at reatailers. They gain new consumers who in return buy the more expensive ones. Happens in every facet of business.
