We’re starting off the week with some Marvel legends from a Marvel legend!

Joe Jusko has been creating realistic comic paintings for every major comic publisher for decades. If you grew up collecting cards, however, you’ll recognize him as the main artist from the Marvel Masterpieces card series from the early 90s; a series that still holds up as some of the coolest cards ever created.

We’re proud to present a showcase of Joe Jusko prints based on Marvel comic cover corner boxes featuring so many classic characters! Joe’s full-body portraits offer awesomely detailed and uniquely realistic interpretations of Marvel characters against the backdrop of a Marvel comic corner box.

The Joe Jusko showcase will be available for purchase on Monday (2/13) @ 12PM ET on our homepage, Bottleneckgallery.com!

This Marvel Monday, we've assembled an awesome selection of Marvel comic cover art from some of Earth’s Mightiest Artists!

Clayton Crain and Nick Bradshaw deliver two rad takes on everybody’s favorite cosmic surfer, Norrin Radd aka The Silver Surfer. Clayton’s print offers a photorealistic Surfer, while Nick’s Norinn zips right off the page with a more stylized look!

Pascal Garcin and Ryan Ottley swing by with two stunning Spidey covers that we’re stoked to adapt into prints. Garcin’s art for Spider-Man #700, a true milestone issue, is one of our favorite collage style pop culture pieces, and we always love a nice group shot from Ryan!

These Marvel prints will be available for purchase on Monday (7/10) @ 12PM ET on our homepage, Bottleneckgallery.com!

WOLVERINE #24 by Jim Lee - On Sale INFO!

February 11, 2024
We’re starting off the week with a SNIKT and a BUB!
We’ve released a few of Jim Lee’s iconic comic covers from the past as officially licensed screen prints, and we’re excited to continue the series with Jim’s classic rendition of Wolverine, all the way back from 1990’s! Focusing on more feral imagery, Jim’s Wolverine, from Wolverine #24, is a loose animal in a city, skulking in the shadows and alleyways. Jim’s art style may have changed over the decades, but seeing Jim's ‘90s comic art in 24 x 36 screen print reminds us that he’s the best there is at what he does!
Jim’s print will be available for purchase on Monday (2/12) @ 12PM ET, on our homepage, Bottleneckgallery.com!

This Monday, we’re doing a campus crawl through Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters; crashing Spider-Man’s apartment in Queens; opening up the Batcave; unsealing the Fortress of Solitude; all in our newest project, Re-Covered!

Bottleneck Gallery is proud to present our newest ongoing project, Re-Covered. Re-Covered comes from our love of, and history with, comic books! Most of us at Bottleneck spent our formative years collecting floppies weekly, and overstuffing our parents’ homes with long boxes full of our favorite Marvel and DC characters, stories, and art. While sifting through our old comics and reminiscing over some of the cover art, we came up with a project aimed at both comic book fans and pop culture print fans.

For our first issue of Re-Covered, we’ve got two pieces of iconic comic cover art from the legendary John Byrne! John’s work on X-Men comics, alongside brilliant scribe Chris Claremont, in the late ‘70s and early ‘80s helped define so much of what cherish about the X-Men to this day. We’ve taken two of our favorite X-Men related covers that John created, one an awesomely feral Wolverine, and the other one of the most memorable X-Men storylines and cover pieces to date, and we’ve created officially licensed screen prints of the art!

We’re excited to bring some of these pieces to a new print medium for the first time!

John’s prints will be available for purchase, bub, on Monday (3/18) @ 12PM ET on our homepage, Bottleneckgallery.com!

Hot off the presses, Re-Covered Issue #2 is here with lovingly re-crafted prints from Jim Lee and John Byrne’s spectacular comics careers!

Our Re-Covered series returns with two all-time heavy hitters in the comic world, Jim Lee and John Byrne. Jim’s early ‘90s X-Men run remains a milestone for Marvel and for all of us here at Bottleneck. Jim’s art set the tone for ‘90s mainstream comic art, and sifting through his covers and issues from back then gives us even more of an appreciation for the indelible mark he has left on comics, especially in the X-Men universe. X-Men #5 features a chaotic clash between Wolverine and Soviet supervillain, Omega Red. Claws and tentacles slashing and lashing, this cover has stuck with us for decades!

John Byrne’s symbiote suit Spidey cover from Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man #101 is renowned. Using only black and white negative space, John’s cover is masterful in both its execution and simplicity. John Byrne’s versatility as both writer and artist was beyond impressive, and we’re thrilled to bring this cover to a large, screen print format.

Jim and John’s prints will be available for purchase on Tuesday (4/23) @ 12PM ET on our homepage, Bottleneckgallery.com. SNIKT!

This Marvel Monday, we’re diving into the world of X-Men ‘97 with two X-ellent prints from the creative team behind the sensational series!

We could gush about X-Men ‘97 for hours; with the fast-paced yet brilliant story structure weaving in multiple classic x-storylines; with the absurd animation talent behind the show, including some of the best action we’ve seen on screen; with the killer soundtrack. But we’ll save some of that for now and simply say we’re massive fans of the X-Men’s animated return, and we’ve got two exciting prints from the show’s creative team!

First up, we’ve got the X-Men bursting through a shelf straight out of 1997, featuring VHS tapes of previous X-Men: The Animated Series episodes and some older X-Men comics. This image offers a clever and fun take, connecting the past and current animated X-Men shows.

Speaking of comics, Amelia Vidal and other X-Men ‘97 illustrators teamed up for a variant comic cover that’s both the epitome of cool and heartbreaking, Rogue and Gambit’s relationship takes center stage during this season, and this piece commemorates that perfectly.

These X-Men ‘97 prints will be available for purchase on Monday (6/10) @ 12PM ET on our homepage, Bottleneckgallery.com.!

We’re slinging and snikt-ing our way through the week with new acrylic editions of Todd McFarlane’s cover art for Spider-Man #13 and Jim Lee’s Wolverine #24 cover art!

Todd’s The Legend of the Black Knight cover is an all-timer, and bringing it to different mediums helps us appreciate the art that much more. The acrylic edition allows each intricate detail of Todd’s legendary cover to really pop.

Focusing on more feral imagery, Jim’s Wolverine, from issue #24, is a loose animal in a city, skulking in the shadows and alleyways. Featuring an exciting and excellent nighttime color palette, Jim’s image always had so much depth, and this acrylic edition brings that depth to a new dimension.

Additionally, mini acrylic comic size editions are back!

All acrylic editions will be available for purchase on Tuesday (6/25) @ 12PM ET on our homepage, Bottleneckgallery.com!

THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #346 by Erik Larsen - On Sale INFO!

This Tuesday, V is for…VENOM!

We’re celebrating our favorite symbiote with Erik Larsen’s unforgettable cover art for The Amazing Spider-Man #346. Larsen’s classic cover features an extreme close-up of Venom as he overtakes the comic page with his vicious teeth and slimy tongue. Venom, as always, has his sights on Spidey, giving us an inspired composition featuring Venom coming for his prey.

Larsen’s art has always been big, bold, and colorful and something about his Spider-man work always stood out as special to us. While working on releasing this cover as a screen print, we were inspired and, after some tinkering in our acrylics lab, we’ve created a brand new product that we’re proud to roll out, Framed Acrylic Dioramas! Using four layers of acrylic panels with archival pigment, each Framed Acrylic Diorama creates bursts of depth giving off an incredible, 3D diorama effect. Larsen’s cover is the first in the Diorama series, and we can’t wait for folks to see Venom in all his 3D glory! These are framed in a beautiful black wooden frame and come ready to hang and display!

The Amazing Spider-Man #346 screen print and Framed Acrylic Diorama will be available for purchase on Tuesday (9/17) @ 12PM ET, on our homepage, Bottleneckgallery.com!

What would any comic con be without legendary comic creators? This Tuesday, we’re rolling out the red carpet for new editions of classic Jim Lee and Todd McFarlane Marvel cover art!

You’ve seen Jim Lee’s savage art for X-Men #5 before but never like this–we’re stoked to release adamantium (aluminum) and acrylic editions of Jim’s classic cover. Wolverine and Omega Red always made for an epic clash in the 90s, and we’ve brought all of the brutal details to these special editions.

Todd McFarlane’s cover art for The Amazing Spider-Man #316 is another all-timer, featuring the infamous Venom Vs. Spidey cover where Spider-Man is completely trounced. Todd’s Venom was vicious in all the best ways, and everything about this issue, including the cover showcased that. We’ll have both comic-sized mini and full-sized acrylic editions available of Todd’s awesome art!

All of the editions above will be available for purchase on Tuesday (10/15) @ 12PM ET on our homepage, Bottleneckgallery.com!

John Buscema’s cover for Wolverine #8 pays homage to the dynamic duo of Patches and Mr. Fixit aka Joe Fixit aka Grey Hulk, and it’s one of the more fun classic covers! John’s storied career in comics speaks for itself, and we love how this cover radiates cool with two alternative aliases for some of our favorite heroes.

Frank Miller and Daredevil were a powerful combination for years, and we’re stoked to bring the legend’s art to our screen print series. Daredevil #189’s cover is an all-timer, featuring Matt amid a flurry of The Hand’s sharpest weapons and fighters. And in true Daredevil fashion, Matt’s barreling headfirst into the fray, ready to go to hell and back. Frank’s work really shines in this cover!

And last, but not least, we’ve got a DC cover from the unstoppable Jim Lee. Jim’s covers, both new and old, are always a highlight and his work on Wonder Woman #1 is no exception. Diana looks majestic and powerful, and her Lasso of Truth has never looked better.

All of these prints will be available TODAY @ 12PM ET on our homepage!

We're revisiting Mark Bagley’s viciously cool Venom vs. Spidey cover for Amazing Spider-Man #375 and Patrick Gleason gets into Wolverine’s head with his art for Wolverine #1!

Mark’s cover art for the supersized Amazing Spider-Man #375 features Spidey and Venom locked in battle, against an intricately patterned web background. Mark’s renditions of Peter and Brock are massively muscular, and we love the classic costumes. We’ve also created a spectacular foil edition to mimic the original foil comic cover!

Pat Gleason has been on a tear at Marvel for years now, and he’s back with a scintillating cover for Wolverine #1. Comic creators often have to peer into characters’ minds, and Pat’s X-ray cover art does that literally, in one of the coolest ways possible. We’ve got a small edition of Pat’s x-cellent X-ray art on acetate paper, creating a fun X-ray aesthetic.

Mark and Pat’s prints will be available TODAY @ 12PM ET on our homepage!

We’ve taken Mark’s art and lovingly recrafted it into a Multi-Layer Acrylic, bringing some unique depth to a classic image.

We're digging into our long boxes and show our age with a true gem of a release, Todd McFarlane’s cover art for Marvel Age #90!

Marvel Age was an official Marvel magazine that ran for just over a decade in the ‘80s and early ‘90s and contained a blend of insider info, coming attractions, interesting interviews, fun comics, and most importantly, rad cover art from the best in the scene. Todd McFarlane’s cover for issue #90 features a spectacular (and rarely seen) image of Spider-Man surrounded by webbing. Todd’s Spider-Man remains one of our favorite renditions of Peter Parker, and we’re excited to release this image as a screen print. And we didn’t forget our acrylic fans, we’ve got full-sized and comic-sized editions of this gorgeous Spidey art from Todd!

This Marvel Monday, we pay our respects to a legendary artist and Spidey’s most spectacular villain!

Brooklyn’s very own Sal Buscema needs no introduction from us. Sal’s incredible career at Marvel helped define so much of what we love about Spider-Man, and we’re proud to present his cover for The Spectacular Spider-Man #200 as a screen print. Green Goblin is one of Spidey’s most unpredictable and fascinating villains, and Sal’s cover perfectly encapsulates their vicious relationship.

Flashback to when George Perez put on the Infinity Gauntlet and proved he was the most powerful artist at Marvel!

Artist George Perez and writer Jim Starlin’s Infinity Gauntlet comic event from 1991 directly inspired the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s first decade, aka The Infinity Saga, and became the ultimate zenith of comic events over at Marvel. George’s consistently masterful art was on prime display throughout Infinity Gauntlet’s six-issue run, and we’ve been marvelling over issue #1’s iconic cover for decades. Featuring a super-powered Thanos with all six Infinity Gems in the Infinity Gauntlet, George’s cover shows how much of a threat Thanos is to the rest of the Marvel-verse, spotlighting heroes that are about to be directly impacted by the epic event.

We’ve lovingly recreated George’s cover as a high fidelity screen print, and we’ve also created extremely limited editions of the art as both full-size and comic-size acrylics! These acrylics add an awesome new dimension to George’s classic cover, and bring out the true power of Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet.

We’re finishing up the week strong with John Romita Jr. and his sensational cover for Amazing Spider-Man #230, David Welker's Bull vs. Bear Diorama and a special WEAPONS LP release!

JRJR is comic royalty, and we’re always stoked to comb through our collection and re-stumble upon a JRJR cover that both blows us away, and challenges us to recraft as a screen print. Amazing Spider-Man #230 features a powerful image, showcasing a bug-sized Spider-Man facing off against an absolute behemoth, Juggernaut. JRJR’s clever cover fills the page with Juggernaut’s hulking helmet and enraged visage, showing off JRJR’s phenomenal linework and cross-hatching, with a fully colored Spidey hurtling towards a big hurting.

JR’s print swings into our store TODAY @ 12PM ET on our homepage!

We’re throwing on our favorite symbiote-infused suit and heading out on the town with Charles Vess and Clayton Crain!

Charles Vess has a long and storied career as a, primarily, fantasy painter and we always adored his random pop-ins into cape comics throughout the years. 1992’s Spectacular Spider-Man #189 was a giant-sized 30th anniversary issue that featured a host of excellent Spidey art, including a fold out poster from Charles that we’ve been obsessed with for decades. Charles’ original poster featured Black Suit Spider-Man in pursuit of the Hobgoblin, with Pumpkin Bombs decorating the chase. Charles’ image is cinematic, fun, and one we felt deserved the print treatment without the folding lines!

Clayton Crain’s cover for Venom Inc. Omega #1 shows off Venom bursting through the boundaries of the page–a very Venom thing to do! Clayton’s cover features an awesome rendition of everybody’s favorite symbiote with extra emphasis on his ever-growing tongue. Clayton’s art is sharp, just like Venom’s claws!

Charles and Clayton’s prints will be available TODAY @ 12PM ET on our homepage!
