If this really is embossed on both sides, with metallic gold for the the title and embellishments, then I'm in, even though I love the previous steelbook. I also like the book spine look on this one.

You could emboss that all day long and it would still be embossed crap.
I have the old steelbook, which is stunning and even with that the art could be a hell of a lot better.

I don't believe that's been confirmed for the US. It'll probably just be full/spot gloss imo.
