Nice, preordered. Love catching the amazon.it steels early, before they've properly adjusted the price lol

Love the first film. I mean it’s awful, but great at the same time. Proper guilty pleasure. Got the German steel for the first so I’ll need one for the sequel .

Still blows my mind Ben Wheatley (who’s from up the road to where I live) has directed this. Kill list is one of my favourite films

Also when the f**k are we going to get a Deep blue Sea release. My ultimate guilty pleasure. I’m assuming never

Same. Film and the german steel. Tbh I was really enjoying the film at the start, there was some cool science and exploration going on, and a bit of horror too. Then it just turned into a dumb action creature feature lol oh well. 2nd looks good from the trailer, but probably much of the same.

If you went into this expecting anything other than dumb action you had unreasonable expectations. Lol I personally think this movie is big dumb entertaining fun.

I’ve ended up pairing it with the across the spiderverse 4K (better) alternate art. Still no tell on if the U.K. gets both variants as nothing has been updated here. Release is 14th Sep and you get 6 artcards with the Italian release

Happy about that

No, i went expecting it.. that's why I was surprised the start was so good. It was originally intended to be R rated and pretty gruesome from what I read, but they WB fiddled with it, like they do. Which is why it almost feels like 2 different takes on a film sandwiched together.

When I first found that out I literally thought the article had ballsed up and named the wrong person. In fact it took a few more Google searches and an Interview with Ben Wheatley himself before I finally believed it. Probably the last film on earth I would imagine him directing!

Ah great shout! That wasn't up on amazon.it last i looked during prime week. Annoying as if I'd caught it earlier it'd probably have been less than 30euro, but nevermind.. added the ring too, as that's only 15quid to add on, plus there's no bbfc logos on the slip like the UK release :vomit:

Exact same mate. And looks like he’s just having fun with it

So he was supposed to be directing the next tomb raider too but he had to drop out. Love to see what he picks after this. Will he be back to his old ways or go bigger and bolder again?

I can't watch Jaws because Great Whites terrify me, but the shark looks so big in this it looks daft. Yes it was much bigger than a Great White, but not that big surely. I might get the first on DVD, probably not get a bath for a few weeks though.
