A little on packaging and the Taiwanese edition...

Ordered this last week on release day and boom! It arrived at my door today. I did a quick calculation to compare the cost of this edition to the Amazon Japan exclusive with express shipping:

JSDVD with express shipping - USD$57
Amazon.jp with express shipping - USD$74

Now first off the packaging from JSDVD:

I like the Taiwan slip with the title clearly written in English along with Chinese, and the quarter spine slip again with English and Chinese.

I no a lot of guys like the slips but buying, these for a bit of foreign text makes no sense at all to me. Don't get it personally. And they cost loads more that's just my opinion of course.

These are works of art. Presentation means everything. If you want to have a beer go buy the french version. If you want that 100 glass of fine wine go with the Asian releases.

Most of the Asian Steels with these exotic slips are for the affluent crowd. All you get to see is just 3/4th of the case or nothing at all if the case is fully housed inside a slip. What's the point in buying a Steelbook case to be mostly or completely hidden to the naked eyes? Collecting item is about being able to feel it in hand and not looking at pictures posted online.
