Karl, it's part of the "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" series. The single film titles may ring more of a bell for folks....

oh now in makes sence loved the first two films not seen the third yet not out in uk definity agree with your review now. A bit of topic but i heard the us are making a remake of the girl with the dragoon tattoo out this year.

unam9-it just depends on what kind of flicks you like. This series is gritty, dark, filled with mystery and very engaging series. The books and flicks have become an international sensation. But that's the case for me, and not necessarily for you. Maybe you can rent it first? It may be cut(and think this "Director's Cut" is not, but the US version may be), but at least you get a sense. I find watching films in their original language with subs more rewarding, but it just depends what you're into. Definitely worth checking out, IMO.

thanks for the info, i'll give it a rent then

It's confirmed to be G2 and also the Director's cut for those that are interested in this release. It's the same artwork as the one posted on Amazon.de with the blue banner at the top. Supposedly most places in Germany sell it for 39.99 Euros.

Ugh-it seems this is in 1080i, and doesn't include the original Swedish version, at least per members of other forums. Nice that it's a Steelbook, epic fail for me, personally, on encode and lack of original language, if true.

I saw this in Saturn last week and from what I remember it was region B locked. Please correct me if I am wrong, though. Been a long week. :D

The timings of the discs 175,176,175 are the same as on Saturn release but that had sticker on outside and thin "50 Jahre" banner under the shrink. Yes it was a Saturn exclusiv but maybe that has run out.

Interestingly UK release of the Blu's has them as 2 93min (186min per film) for each release.

I ordered one, will let you know if it is/was the Steelbook by tuesday i guess...
Not sure if that will be soon enough for you to get it for that price!
