My Basement Physical Media Collection Tour

Man I can't even wrap my head around how much money is required to pull off a collection like that... I think if I entered that space I would absolutely freak out. On one hand I really love huge collections like that, it's like a kid in a candy store and like a legit video rental store. On the other hand I saw that a lot of those titles seem to be still sealed and just from a mathematical view point you will obviously never be able to watch all of those films, there's only so many days in one lifetime. My heart aches a bit seeing incredible editions - like the Lars von Trier Curzon Box among others - just sitting there sealed next to thousands of other titles...sort of buried, even though that single box alone is a treasure trove in itself. It makes you excited how many good stuff there is collected in one space, on the other hand it's sad because so much of it will probably never be watched. But still, I can't say that I wasn't amazed watching the video.

That is a very valid point. Most of my collection are films that I have already watched and wanted to own. I do watch at least one movie per day and have for several years now, but I will never be able to see them all. A lot of the plastic that you do see is the bags that I place all of my items in. Anything with a slipcover goes into a bag and same with the steelbooks. The more expensive boxsets stay sealed for as long as possible though. I appreciate you watching!
