Possibly you watched the dreadful remake american version from spike lee..I've seen this film on Prime IIRC and it looked so bad! Prolly SD or something like that. No clue why..
Nope, it was not.Possibly you watched the dreadful remake american version from spike lee..
I feel the same. When I saw this, I got myself Arrow's Limited Edition. 4K remaster feels good enough, and it comes with the two other revenge films... Everything seems wrong with this, the color and art are just wrong.
If the extras on the Oldboy 4K disc are similar to the ones on the BD edition, you can always buy the 4K on sale and switch it with the old one. That's what I plan on doing with my Demons steelbookI feel the same.
I pretty much always go for 4k discs, but I just feel that the Blu-ray Ltd Ed Boxset is sufficient enough and you get a lot more for it.
I'll wait for impressions, but the Steelbook certainly ain't winning any awards.

There's certain films where I don't mind a bit of grain as I feel it adds to the aesthetic/tone... Old Boy being one of them.Watched this last night, still very grainy but definitely an improvement, especially in some outdoor shots.
Plainarchive did a really nice premium edition. Can get them for decent price on the bay if you look often.Hey guys, any recommendations on the best bang for buck Oldboy Steelbook. Only been collecting a few months and I’m not gonna drop $40 on this one. Are the other versions decent quality? I feel like Oldboy isn’t a must in 4K
