I believe since GLHVDD had its wide release in February it wasn't eligible for these Oscars I may be mistaken though. I know it had its premier last year but not sure how those rules work.

thread could use an invigilator and less baiting.
whatabout what Danish guy thinks about question regarding another movie?

Glad to see GLHFDD getting some love now it's reached streaming but man I feel like they dropped the ball with the smaller theatrical release. Not saying it would have won the Oscar had it had that. I dont think a film that pushes so hard against modern tech and phones would ever get such recognition, or financial support necessary to create the momentum needed for an Oscar push.

One battle was a suprise for me. I think Sean Penn was incredible and deserved his award for supporting but out of the best picture nominations, it was Sinners for me. I have only seen each once at the cinema though. Maybe I missed something.
I’ll take one battle over Sinners. Love most of the movie, but the last act did nothing for me. Like you I’ve only seen them 1x in the theater.

Based on what I was told this morning if you want a steel of this film this one is the best you're gonna get for the foreseeable future :(

Provocative to say the least.

Given all the awards, I'm sure the steel will get diff art somewhere if not now then re-release down the line. Only question will be if the exclusive extras make it over in another release.

I got this movie on amray for Christmas and still haven't watched it yet. I got so many movies this year, I'm still working my way thru John Wayne westerns. Seems some Ninjas like it and some don't. I see a theme there. Lol.

As for the steel..I don't think it sux, but I don't feel I have to have it.
