There's a Japanese Blu-ray release, but I'm not aware that this would have been released on Blu-ray anywhere else.
Limited to 2000 copies according to their FB page

Almost 2 years to the day since the second steelbook release of the original (19th January 2015).
Know nothing about this version but looks kinky like most of these animes and IMO easily the best artwork choice for the front cover out of the three official poster designs
Bound to be Matte (Zero or Satin at best) and that title is crying out to be debossed.
Love the dramatic contrast of colours and the fine detailing of and around the headpiece.

Anyway, welcome back Eureka . . . it's been as while.
One of the other poster designs (#2) is the artwork for the upcoming Amaray edition (13/3/17).

Speaking about METROPOLIS . . . the German one not the Japanese one . . . anyone on here own up to winning the engraved 180 gram bar of solid gold worth 4,000 quid?
Everyone that bought one of the 4,000 copies of the second METROPOLIS steelbook (released January 2013) had an equal chance of winning.
P.S. That bar would have to be made of 18ct gold to be worth that sort of figure today - the current value of 180 grams of 18ct gold is 4,500 quid approx. (9ct 2,300 quid approx.)

Back looks fine as in not marked up like FRIGHT NIGHT
. . . although don't like this new fashion of leaving off the title and that back really couldn't look much barer

Looks alright, any idea what the finish is? no back art like most of their releases, not sure if I want to buy this or get the standard release, will wait for a price drop to decide.
@virkia are you talking about the Metropolis 1927 released on Jan 2015? I wonder too if anyone got the gold bar, I know some copies are sealed, someone could be sitting on a winner.

Not ordered this yet so cannot say much about the finish although looks typically elegant Eureka style in a matte finish with some sort of effect on the face, hair and title to make them stand out.
I will order before long as it looks like a lovely steelbook and not expecting much of a price-drop on this one . . . at least not under GBP 17.99.
The plan is to pick up the Amaray when it's under a tenner to join the steelbook.
