Panasonic ub154 region free?

Hi guys,
I bought a UB154 from amazon germany.
I can play blu rays from all region by pressing stop and top menu when i get the region error code.
But it does not work for dvd's.
I still have a bunch of region 3 asian flicks.
Anybody knows a trick to bypass the dvd region coding with this player?
