Picked up 3 FuturePaks with this style artwork at Target today. Movies were Super 8, The Italian Job, and War of the Worlds. Can't find information online about these and not on their website.

I'll grab the Indy trilogy and maybe
Tin tin, super 8, and Italian job

Painfull pass on Star Trek. Might get them. .......maybe lawless, maybe killing them softly

Dammit all!

These have amazing embossing! I didn't even know they were coming out and there they were. I immediately grabbed TinTIn. By itself the design is pretty cool. In a set it's a little blah. But the embossing...

Nothing in Huntington Beach, CA. Either. What is this? Just some random release? I'm checking with people around the country- nothing. Except, obviously @GeekSexy in Burbank! No idea what is going on. Furthermore, at the stores here, and Huntington Beach- they have nothing about it in their database.
zero. nada.

I think the planogram is set with the standard releases, as well. Any Futurepak that was missing had a standard release in its place ($15.00). They may be the same item number for both again. There was a 4-ft section with these and the $10.00 Anchor Bay line of Steelbooks from last year (Evil Dead, Lord of Salem, etc.) Raiders was the only Indy film they had. The regular Temple and Crusade filled the other slots.

My buddy in Huntington Beach, Ca. Found about 6 titles. Verrry slim pickings, and there was no display. Just put out like regular Blu rays.
He checked at open and there was nothing. So they must have put them out mid-day. This is terrible.
Way to go Target...

Three Targets today, (mostly looking for a very illusive Lucy), all three only had 2-3 of the following titles;
- The Adventures of Tintin
- The Italian Job (2003)
- Lawless
- Super 8
- True Grit (2010)
- War of the Worlds

Sorry, been busy and have not had a lot of time to reply. As other members have put it, the DPCI is the same as standard armaray/blu ray release. Also, will not be opening the copies that I bought until I get my new book case ordered, so no inside photos of interior art at this time.

Right, but we still need the DPCI for store reps to check location in store room. Narrowing down the search makes this "scarvenger hunt" easier.

I am sorry for not knowing this. But if an item shares same coding in store database, then how would knowing DPCI make much of a difference? Your still going to have ask an associate to search for it because it shares the same location in back storage room as standard release. The associate will have to get a hand scanner, scan bar code on shelf , and dig through storage bin ( probably stored in same box as standard blu ray version).

Don't mean to start a fight or anything, just curious because it doesn't make sense to me. Thanks!

You're thinking too much into this. The easiest thing you could do is simply provide DPCI info I requested. However, I'll elaborate. I've been to 5 Target locations. They tried searching for Super 8 & Italian Job and nothing came up. Sometimes providing a DPCI is a quick way to initiate a search. Once a location is pulled up in the store room, at least it'll make the job of the store associate easier to try to find an item rather than me getting the canned response of "oh you could order it online" or "the website says online only." IMO the DPCI makes much of a difference for me (saves time). Anyways, it's no big deal. Have an awesome rest of your week.
