Had about 6 different copies in hand, saturn and mm. Each of them paint chipped on the bottom corners. Anyone with the same experience?

Same here. I only bought one but scratches and paint chips under the lenticular case on front bottom and lower part under the lenticular card. SUCKS

I'm currently watching jurassic park in 3d and I'm blown away by the level of 3d . I'm curious is the 3d on this good or too gimmicky

I think it's very good in places, such as the Jungle scenes. You can really see the depth. On the whole it's not as good as JP but still very impressive. However what lets this release down is the re-use of the old, heavily DNR'd transfer.

Cheers what's dnr

Digital Noise Reduction.

It's used for getting rid of grain in films. It's basically trying to make a non HD film look HD by smoothing out grain but if overused makes everything look like wax. Carl Weathers is a case in point in this version.

my friend Gio just reported to me, that this is currently €24.99 @ mediamarkt (probably in-store /austria only)... i don't know if it's the same price reduction in germany, but maybe worth having a look in stores for those who haven't got this yet.

shame about the DNR'd crap transfer disc, but the lenti is one of the best looking in my collection.

@my local MM it`s still €29-been there today . And this wasn`t even the Steelie, just the amaray Version-could be quite possible that it is an Austria price Reduction

Bought two copies of this in my local MM-store today.
Was listed with 29€, but thanks to the current action, i payed 19% less (~24€).

Can't wait to watch it in 3D!

It's one of my favorite steels. I bought a second because the first one I had was scratched a little under the lenticular(I'm way too anal).
