Prometheus 3D (Target Exclusive 4-Disc Collector's Edition w/ Art Book) [USA]

Target will be releasing an exclusive for Prometheus on October 9th even though it's not listed on their Web site (looks to be another silent exclusive like their Indiana Jones set with lithographs). I've seen several photos of this on other forums now, but these new ones are the best.

The photos attached to this are courtesy of BR user pockay. They show the film, a slipbox and the mini art book (similar to the Target exclusive Snow White & the Huntsman).

No pricing details were given.

I went to 5 different Targets, 2 had none,1 had 1 all nice and spiderwrapped (pretty much destroyed) 1 had 12 of the non exclusive 3D pack and finally found one with 12 exclusives... whew, that was a close one

This truly sounds like a clusterf**k. Not available online, some stores don't have it, some have it but they've been destroyed... I don't understand how Target always drops the ball on all these cool exclusives that they receive. Anyway, G -- you're my boy, Blue!

It's better than paying $45+ for these on eBay. My local target just got restocked with 10+ copies.

I found 3 today in a Target I hadn't been in before. Unless there is another shipment coming, everyone else is either out of them or never got them in my area.

No, it is just a cardboard slipcase with an amaray case and artbook inside.

The 2D version is in a regular slipcover with the artbook within the amaray case. The 3D version is in a slipbox with the artbook outside of the amaray case and stored inside the slipbox, too. Mr. G:Box confirmed this info for me.

I relly dont get it with Target online all stores in Mcallen are marked as available, the one acorss the hotel did not have any one asked and they said "none arrived" went to other store and from a cardboard box a lady gived me 2, later in the night (8 pm) returned to get more but none on display asked again and 22 available went to the back and gived me 2, returned wedesday morning (more requests) I only found one in a spider thing with minimum damage and no more according to the grumpy old man in charge of movies.

Yes the Target exclusive 3D version is a slipbox but be wary that some stores have started stocking the "regular" 3D version without the artbook and the slipbox.

hey guys due to current illness I could not get out on release day. Low and behold before todays Drs appt I went to 2 Targets and of course both were sold out. After appt I hope to have energy to check more stores but given thread and that I was told minutes ago mostly high traffic stores got this I am not too hopeful. As a huge fan I hope someone can help me with a spare if by some miracle you have one. I know its a slim chance but any help is appreciated. Thanks everybody

Edit: last store I got to had one not as destroyed by the dreaded spider packaging. I am all set

I finally made it to the other Target near my house and they had several copies of the slipbox edition and in mint condition too, no spider packaging.

This release is just weird though. The Target I bought this from never received the Snow White exclusive. While the Target that didn't get this slipbox still has the Snow White exclusive. /go figure
