I am deeply saddened to tell you all that "Nassar" aka. "TheBlurayFreak" passed away at the age of 23 on March 4, 2013. My heart sank when I was told of his passing from a youtube friend.

He was a strong young man who I have been told fought till the end but eventually lost his battle to Cancer. Most people that know him knew him from Youtube as I did but he was a member here under the same username as Youtube ("theblurayfreak") although didn't post much. We talked over the past year and half on Youtube many times and he was a genuinely good guy who loved movies and steelbooks. Sadly had to sell most of it at the end to pay for experimental drugs and treatment I was told to try and keep fighting.

I just thought it important to put this thread up for him and post his Youtube channels comments page link below so that any of you that knew him can post a quick comment on his page which I hope someone from his family and friends will see and Im sure will appreciate that so many of us cared about him in the movie community online.

Nassar you were taken too soon from this world and will be missed but not forgotten. R.I.P brother.

Hey guys ... HDN has put forth a Zombieland steelbook where 100% of the sale will go to Cancer Research in memory of Nassar/ TheBlurayFreak.

Perhaps this might be your personal holy grail?

A letter will be included from staff with something else.... surprise.

Gone way too soon. I remember seeing his Ghost Recon steelbook video....I didn't know you, but i tip my hat to you for braving through your struggles and never giving up.

It's too late now but I wish there was something we could've done while you were around...rest in peace.

Although I never knew him, but it really hurts and sadens me when someone passes away due to Cancer. May his soul Rest in Peace and my condolences to his Family & Freinds!

R.I.P

I did not know him, but as a fellow collector he was a part of the community!

My sympathies to his family and friends.

I never heard of him before now, but it's always sad to hear of a fellow collector passing away

RIP buddy and my deepest condolences to his friends and family

I lost my dad to Cancer, it's a horrible illness that hopefully one day will be cured.

R.I.P to TheBlurayFreak, far to young to be taken.

Hopefully in a better place.

Well my friend, if there are steelbooks in heaven, you'll get a head start on all of us buddy.

Thank you for all the videos, although it's no age to die, at least there is no more pain for you.

Rest in peace brother.

RIP BUDDY!!

it's a great shame to hear of anyone taken by cancer, especially one so young and with his whole life ahead of him! My heart goes out to his family, friends or anyone that knew him !

I know from my own personal experiences that cancer doesn't care about age, race, wealth etc...... The sooner it's cured the better!

Poor guy, I have only just recovered from bowel cancer (due my last bit of surgery in a couple weeks) and it was tough. I can't imagine how it must've felt having it so bad that it actually gets you in the end.

I hope your passing was easier than it sounds, such a great shame. R.I.P fella.
