I am deeply saddened to tell you all that "Nassar" aka. "TheBlurayFreak" passed away at the age of 23 on March 4, 2013. My heart sank when I was told of his passing from a youtube friend.

He was a strong young man who I have been told fought till the end but eventually lost his battle to Cancer. Most people that know him knew him from Youtube as I did but he was a member here under the same username as Youtube ("theblurayfreak") although didn't post much. We talked over the past year and half on Youtube many times and he was a genuinely good guy who loved movies and steelbooks. Sadly had to sell most of it at the end to pay for experimental drugs and treatment I was told to try and keep fighting.

I just thought it important to put this thread up for him and post his Youtube channels comments page link below so that any of you that knew him can post a quick comment on his page which I hope someone from his family and friends will see and Im sure will appreciate that so many of us cared about him in the movie community online.

Nassar you were taken too soon from this world and will be missed but not forgotten. R.I.P brother.

Hey guys ... HDN has put forth a Zombieland steelbook where 100% of the sale will go to Cancer Research in memory of Nassar/ TheBlurayFreak.

Perhaps this might be your personal holy grail?

A letter will be included from staff with something else.... surprise.

Very sad news, I didn't no the guy, but very sad to hear about a fellow collector it's a cruel world taking somebody at just the young age of 23. R I P

23 is way too young to die and especially to the cruel fate of cancer.

Very sad news, regardless of being a collector or not. I also didn't know him personally.

RIP Nasser. Thoughts go out to his family and friends. :(

I didn't knew this young man, but may he rest in peace.
Cancer is a terrible disease and I hope they will find a cure for it as soon as possible.
But more importantly; a possible cure should be available to anyone, not only the rich.
His family must go through a very hard time, and they might never see this thread, but I wish them the best.

R.I.P.

I am deeply saddened to hear this news, my deepest sympathy & condolences to his family & friends, may you RIP Nassar :(
