Hopefully this comes to other regions.. loved this series, its art and music. Always wanted to pick up a blu-ray copy so this would be perfect. Sentai don't ship internationally do they? edit: looks like Canada / US only?

you can compare it with neon genesis evangelion. mecha vs aliens
It's closest comparison is indeed with Evangelion - but in many ways it is superior. For one thing, it is a complete story. If you watch it over and over again, you'll see just how complete it is, with hints of the story's heart right from the beginning. It can be simplistically described as an alien-origin, "mecha" vs monsters anime, but in fact, RahXephon is an overwhelmingly beautiful love story in disguise. And add all its beautiful music. For me, one of the greatest anime of all time.
