I wanted to love this movie, but all the new characters were kinda lame and the story seemed oddly familiar.

Fanboyism aside, I can definitely see the similarities to A New Hope... I guess they wanted to play it safe. I loved the new characters though! Really liked the whole Stormtrooper going good thing too, since they've always been one of my favourite things in Star Wars.

Really?you liked Rey?She was one of the worse female leads i have ever seen.Hopefully Felicity Jones can do better.

The storm trooper story was a great idea that was poorly executed.There is no way a trained storm trooper is so weak and fragile.He could have at least been component on some things other than the first order.

Yep, loved Rey... I can only see myself liking her more as the trilogy progresses and we find out more about her. Stormtroopers have never been great in battles to be fair lol, but what makes you think he was weak and fragile? He put up a decent fight against Kylo (someone who's actually strong with the Force) until he got knocked on his ass. In the beginning he wanted to run rather than fight... plus I think the fact that he was basically a "traitor" played on his mind a lot too.

Yep, loved Rey... I can only see myself liking her more as the trilogy progresses and we find out more about her. Stormtroopers have never been great in battles to be fair lol, but what makes you think he was weak and fragile? He put up a decent fight against Kylo (someone who's actually strong with the Force) until he got knocked on his ass. In the beginning he wanted to run rather than fight... plus I think the fact that he was basically a "traitor" played on his mind a lot too.

In THREE Star Wars movies, Luke learned to do very little with the Force- in this one, people are flying Sh*t all over the screen and stopping laserblasts in midair. So these guys are just "Force Savants" and Luke sucked at it?
And seriously, Rey can do anything at anytime with no knowledge of what she is doing...is she the Messiah or something? Characters with no flaws, make for bad cinema.
(Not a SW fan, so there is no fanboyism in my opinions).

That wasn't a fight ,it was mauling.He wasn't even a filler what we all knew was coming.
That's what made him weak to me. always running and always whining about something.He should have just maned the heck up.But then again, i guess that would have clashed with Rey's screen dominance through out.Two hot heads will never accomplish anything.But he could have at least had some kind of know how of something.

Haha I see your point and I could give reasons for everything you said, but I can't be bothered to defend the movie any more (been through it all on social media already lol). I honestly think it's sad when people have to nitpick films though and not just sit back and have fun with it... I'd dislike a lot of films if that were the case with me, because no film is perfect. You've got to admit that TFA was at least entertaining!
