On the Buses 1970

This Hammer version of the classic British TV show never fails to make me laugh. Like Blazing Saddles totally 100% Politically incorrect but very very funny. Easily one of the best film adaptions of a TV comedy show to date. The scene were Stan nearly demolishes a street with the bus just to escape an irate husband is worth the admission free alone......

Singin in the Rain

What more can be said but simply the best Musical ever made. Superb script, superb acting, superb cast. Simply flawless and just gets better with each viewing.
A little sad watching it after the death of Debbie Reynolds but the magic of her performance will live on forever.

Star Wars (original version)

Again brilliant from beginning to end. From the moment we get that Star cruiser flying overhead to Darth Vader's first appearance. The magic of the film never lets up and Carrie Fisher as Princess Lea. Just one of so many iconic characters in the film. Her encounter with Peter Cushing is pure gold and shows that there was more to him that Hammer films. Good moments? So many, you're stuck for choice.........

Have to confess I have not seen any of the above expect the 50's version of Hell or High Water
Most of them are one time watch for me except Adventureland. That and Hell or High Water are safe bet to watch. Unless you're into horror/thriller, in which case, Sinister might be your cup of tea.
