@AlienKing Upon reflection I decided to drop Jane Got a Gun down to 3 stars... whilst I did enjoy it, I wouldn't be in a rush to rewatch it, so 4 stars was probably too generous. Just thought I'd let you know!

Isn't it funny how the spinoff is way more interesting to watch than the main story movie from the year before? Add to that, so many epic one-liners and hilarious moments.
"be careful not to choke on your aspirations"
"you know i'm blind, right?" :hilarious:
"congratulations! you are being rescued"
and Vader's massacre at the end
As much as i wanted a different ending, i'd rewatch this many times.

Glad you loved it. Probably the best sci-fi film of 2016, imo.

The Blue Lamp 1950
Evening all!. (Sorry couldn't resist)
Just got around to watching this b/w classic on blu-ray about the lives of 2 London bobbies in 1950's London. It was the film that inspired Dixon of Dock Green.
Great thriller about a killer played by Dirk Bogarde (cast against type) who bites off more than he can chew in a robbery gone wrong.

Pool of London 1951
Another Ealing Classic from 1951 about two sailors who get caught up in a robbery. Maybe not as well known as The Blue Lamp but just as gripping. Can't recommend these blu-rays enough.

Both unlikely ever to be released in the USA.
