Ah, the old question about classic poster art vs. modern interpretations. Steelbook collectors need something worth collecting. If film companies are going to try something new, at least make it well, & not some pale imitation. The Durieux version, as a Mondo release would be fine, but imagine a matching set...I'll start saving up!
Hmm. I was trying to figure out what still of Jimmy Stewart they used for the cover, and . . . I think it's from Vertigo. ?? I'll go ahead and agree with the rest of you now, that this steelbook art is disappointing.
Pretty sure it's from REAR WINDOW ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (and wrestling):-

For a bit of fun there's this REAR WINDOW / Kubrick mash-up which should amuse . . .but caution should be exercised as contains a certain amount of nudity:-
Back to the steelbook artwork: the World Cinema Library release is probably more your cop of tea:-
Title on the front I could do without but as this latest Hitch collection has a similar basic title treatment throughout I'm presuming that the same will continue if they do any of the others:-
It's on Zavvi/Zoom now listed at £14.99. Overall I'm disappointed with the artwork the film deserves better than this. I hate the Smurf looking Grace Kelly... oh well I'll probably pick it up as it's one of my favourites.
I thought this was glossy! Never seen this film so I went for blind buy and I got it yesterday, So far i don’t really like the Steelbook but I hope I like the film.
