Hi All
Just to let you know if your from Republic of Ireland or from Abroad
There is a Postal Strike in Republic Of Ireland at the moment
- An Post regrets to advise customers NOT to post any letters or parcels until further notice
- Post Office retail services not affected
Due to industrial action in mails processing centres by staff of supplier company IO Systems who are members of the Communications Workers’ Union (CWU), An Post greatly regrets to advise customers NOT to post any mail items, with immediate effect. Also, as a result of this industrial action, there will be no mail collections from businesses until further notice.
Due to the withdrawal of labour by staff of IO Systems, we are unable to process mail for delivery to customers.
This means any post from 3rd of Oct will not be processed or delivered until further notice be it domestic post or post from from abroad
If you are awaiting post that was sent from Ireland or Irish customers awaiting post from abroad and not already processed by the 4 mail centers in the Rep of Ireland before 3rd Oct 2015 it won't be delivered until after the strike is over
This affects all post coming into Rep of Ireland including customs as the 4 mail centers process post before it goes to customs if required
If you have a parcel expected from abroad and is been sent by courier it may also be affected for processing and delivery but most courier deliveries should be OK
I will update this thread once news of when the strike is over
