Hi,

I've just taken my Titans of Cult (ToC) collection and added the nice and shiny Steelbook Central covers to protect the releases.

Meanwhile, I started to reminisce about the releases and what was commented in the individual threads before or after each singular release given ToC trajectory and choice.

As a retrospective (and no need to bump historic threads), what's everyone's thoughts to ToC? Have you gone back and looked at the early releases and have an opinion on what you liked and what you didn't like?

Keen to discuss your opinions of all things ToC.

It's a hit and miss process imo. They had some great releases including the steel but others were mediocre. Hope they continue and improve, there is potential :)

I never really had an issue with them and it was the Mad Max Steelbook that got me back into collecting in the 1st place. For that reason alone I gave them a lot of leeway.

And some of their Steelbooks are legit really nice, The Wonder Woman one is great so is the Pacific Rim, I the silk screening on that is so unusual.

Some of them are absolutely lazy, the Bond one is flat out ****, fuzzy, flat, uninspired and just bad.

It also pissed me off at the time that the John Wick one didn't get a UK release, and then it did, which annoyed me cos I imported one, which I had to do twice but that was Amazons fault. Then it turns out the UK one was inferior so I guess it all worked out in the end.

At first if I had to describe them in one word it would be uninspired. Then I realized I confused Titans of Cult with those terrible Pop Art Steelbooks. After Googling to find the whole catalog I think Titans of Cult had several very good Steelbooks. I like the incorporation of artwork on the PET sleeves.
