Brad Arnold, the founding lead singer of the American rock band 3 Doors Down, died on February 7, 2026 at the age of 47 after a courageous battle with advanced cancer. Known for penning and performing some of the band’s most enduring hits like “Kryptonite,” “When I’m Gone,” and “Here Without You,” Arnold helped define early-2000s rock and connected deeply with fans around the world. After announcing his diagnosis of stage-4 kidney cancer that had spread to his lungs in May 2025, he fought bravely while supported by loved ones; he passed away peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by his wife Jennifer and family. His music and the emotional resonance of his lyrics have left a lasting imprint on rock music and on the hearts of fans everywhere.
