Jimi Jamison, the lead singer for Survivor, has died of a heart attack, according to the group's official Twitter page.
"Survivor is very shocked & saddened by the passing of our brother Jimi Jamison," the tweet read. "Our thoughts, love & prayers go out to his friends & family."
TMZ reports that Jamison died Sunday night and was found dead in his Memphis home around 1 a.m. Monday by his son, according to Survivor's booking agent. He was 63.
Jamison joined Survivor, in 1984, by which point they'd already topped the Billboard Hot 100 with "Eye of the Tiger" and scored a top 20 hit with "American Heartbeat."
