Seems to me that the artwork surrounding Rocky Horror, Speed, Legend, Big, Thin Red Line, Butch Cassidy & The Day the Earth Stood Still were all referred to some alternate dimension Twilight Zone design studio.

Just had a look at all of those designs as I only knew about Big being released (very new to steelbooks) and agree that most of them are really bizarre, but I do like Big and Thin Red Line, not films for me, but nice alternative artwork for the steelbooks.

It's nice to see something original rather than the studios copying (or slightly modifying) the amaray sleeve design. That's one reason I like what they've done with Rocky Horror. I'm sure a red lips (glossy & embossed) design would have looked great, but it wouldn't be too different from anything we've seen already.

Honestly I love the artwork on this wave. Ok so I am in the minority. But it is different but each one is something unique and something that denotes the film. I just wish we here in the U S A could get better artwork. The Wolf of Wall Street is hideous compared to the U K release. That being said I will be getting all of this wave and loving it.:LOL::LOL:

minority, yes... but i also really like this kind of artworks. so this makes at least 2 people who like them. :scat:

as i'm not only interested in buying good artworks but the movies, it will depend on the price, which ones from the wave i will get. only "vanishing point" is a sure-shot for me, this has never had a blu-ray release before, and i think i will like the movie.

as for "rocky horror", the design is cool, but i already have the uk amaray on my shelf, and haven't watched it since i have it... not a good sign.

Ouch! Just saw the Amazon price for this has been added: £21.99!!

Edit: Zavvi are in at £19.99

£14.99 would have been better. Think I'll wait for this to reduce before I get it.

I want this steelbook, but I'm only willing to pay £14.99, so I'm hoping it'll drop in price at some point:D

Love the mock up by Justboy on thread #68.

Not sure if I will be purchasing this particular steelbook though.
I see Zavvi,Amazon and Play have a few of these, with similar designs, being released on the 12th May,but, and I know it has been asked before, but how limited is a limited edition?

Well people, yes. Each to their own. But If I had it my way, Big would have been a glossy piano from the movie & the lips on Rocky would have been a MUST.

These all say TBC. Who knows, maybe they'll change.

I guess we will have to wait and see.

Thanks to all for their opinions.

I was sadly waiting every day hoping to not miss that bunch of steelbooks but really thinking about it when they did go live. I just finally decided as much as I love the film, I have it on dvd and on ordinary blu ray. I am not in love with the artwork and it's just too expensive at £20 when I do have it. So sadly I pass.

I want to get this but not for the current price. Got burned so many times in the past. The price drop significantly after release. I cross my finger. Not the best art but this is currently the only steelbook version of this movie.

I think the artwork is horrible, the worst of the wave for me. Speed is bad but this is something else.
