This Plain Archive Steelbook is very poor looking

Its Very plain looking it lacks style

The Red UK Steelbook has class and looks way better than the Plain Archive
Steelbook by a long Shot
You have to see it in Person to understand how good the UK release is

UK Steelbook still is the Best Looking

Thanks, increases my chances to pick up a copy of this :D:D:D

Just to go against the grain. This one is not for me, colour is too dull in my opinion, and doesn't reflect the film. Prefer the red UK version.

I absolutely prefer this KIMCHI's exclusive than UK red colored steelbook. I like the mood and atmosphere of this artwork. It reflect the Tokyo race scene in the movie well.

Looks very cool. I was hoping the UK would have been more like this. This is the one for me

In my opinion, it's pretty awesome artwork. Though there is no denying that UK Steelbook's simplistic design is boss-like.

If this comes out full gloss with "RUSH" embossed, or spot gloss (only car) with "RUSH" embossed, it 's gonna look quite incredible. Even if it's without embossing, but fully glossy. It's gonna look awesome.

Overall I happy with the artwork, and I am now not feeling sad that I missed UK steelbook. It remains to be seen, what kind of goodies this contains. If any booklet is planned, I hope this time it should be in English, unlike PA's 1st.

No interest in the film personally but IMO this artwork is loads better than the UK artwork. Good job Plain!

Guys just buy what you like, be it UK or PA/KR one, just bcs there is a new contender on the horizon does not mean the UK one now blows and for those like me who do not own the UK release 'for whatever reason' yes this is a great upgrade and would give us the opportunity to get hold of this title on steelbook. I for one am so excited about this release, but steelbook WEA aside, I say show us the slip plz! ... now that what would make it extra special for me cause I'm a slip-suckaholic lol

Well for me it reflect the film well. It has the look of danger with the stormy clouds, rain and the tremendous speed the cars are travelling at in turn producing downforce making the cars touch the ground.

The film was all about the drivers courage and facing threat of death around each corner every time they stepped into one of those cars. For me this artwork captures this film perfectly :movie:

The front looks just like 'Aviator'! If they get the finish on this right it will show how that could have turned out too.

problem is ppl *want* *their* uk steelbook to be the best, so they would always search for arguments as to why this is inferior.. and since the uk follows a different approach artwise, it is quite easy to say that "the minimalistic style suits the movie a lot better" or "vibrant colors, while this looks dull"

theyre not giving this steelbook the slightest chance and judge it on a mere mock-up..

all in all their "opinion" is easily dismissed as massively biased and should therefore be considered useless for finding ones personal favorite

It is highly amusing how quickly the UK steel became "vibrant and simplistic" when the dull design was slated when it was first announced. I think people look upon things more favourably when they become harder to obtain and worth a bit of money. The back of the UK steel is still a terribly blended image but people seem to forgot that now it's rare.

Either way this one looks nice enough, and certainly has had more thought put into it (I don't consider an ALL RED steel to have had any thought really). But people are free to get both or neither, depending on preference.

The beauty of this release is that the package, as a whole, will be far superior to the rather bare bones UK version. Plus it will probably work out cheaper than trying to pick up a copy of Rush UK via the scalpers on ebay.
