Barlow is absolutely terrifying. I do remember as a child reading Dracula and then running to my parents bedroom absolutely convinced I would hear some tapping at the window or mist would seep under my door and coalesce into the Count. My mother still likes to remind me about it. I was eight at the time though and a voracious reader.
