This is 10-inches less real estate for the same price and it's 4K which is worthless unless you have all the other hardware that can make it happen plus 4K is a dieing breed.
This one there is a $1700 difference, not much of a savings even if it was originally $8000.
If I had to choose it would still be the one I listed. W A Y better savings.

savings wise yes your right and since this is a savings part of the forum it fits right in
but still the 8000 is more Edel then the 7000 series , I mean just look at that Remote Control
Aluminum - nothing but the best.But still I don't own a 75 , I only have a 65 and for me that's big enough

I agree it's a lot of real estate to sacrifice, but the hardware isn't as issue. Upgrading electronics is just a part of the game you are forced to play every couple of years if you want to stay current.
Yes, it's a big difference in price and doesn't seem like a bargain, but it's worth it considering what the 8000 offers. The 7100 isn't shabby by any stretch and if you're on a budget then it's a great TV to own, but the 8000 is worth the extra money if you have it to spare. I know this is the value section, and maybe I shouldn't have posted the 4k TV link, but I thought the 8000 was a good value and wanted to share.

Hey, at least you have a 65". I still have my 55" Samsung, but that will be remedied this fall.
